Today has been a tough day. I am waiting for this deal with the script to close, but it just won't. I don't like the way business is done in this town. Sometimes I wish for an entertainment business with no unions and no middlemen.

I have to say it's actually the opposite with me. I think the number of people trying to dick us over has me very aware of the purpose the unions serve. We can't get into the WGA soon enough, in my opinion.
I know what you mean, and I go back and forth with my feelings about it. I guess at the moment I wrote this I was a little frustrated with the world and the system itself. Seeing what I've seen so far (not just talking about our experience)I sometimes feel that if there weren't the specter of the WGA and SAG and so on looming large, everything would be less complicated and, in the end, better. But maybe not. I mean, there's a reason they came to exist in the first place, right?
